Shimla/Himachal:- India Post at GPO Shimla, are selling Indian National Flags. These flags are not in good condition, their dimensions are not up to standard (as per Flag code). These are not stitched properly, Quality of cloth are also not good. Counter Postal Assistants feel ashamed while asking customers to purchase these flags. Even if someone is hoisting flags with irregular dimensions at his premises, he is doing a punishable offence according to Flag code. In this way, postal employees are also doing an offence by selling such flags. It is requested to all media persons to raise this issue and ask Postal Higher Officers about the matter.
